Around 10 Kagman High School seniors cleaned cars at the Shell Airport Road Station during Shell’s Suds for Funds held on March 25 and raised close to $100 to be used to help support their planned Guam trip.

“We are thankful for Shell for organizing the event and giving us the chance to raise funds,” said KHS Seniors Trip Committee chairwoman Jacoba T. Sablan.

Sablan said they pre-sold 52 tickets for a minimum donation of $5 each.

Senior class president Francine Santos said their group has actively been raising funds for the Guam trip. She said they’ve already raised $2,000, and are aiming for another $2,000. Other fundraisers lined up include hot lunches and a dinner show this month.

Shell holds the Suds for Funds car wash event every month to help different non-profit groups in their community-related projects. The next Suds for Funds event is scheduled for April 22, 2005 at the Shell Dandan Sation. Interested groups may get in touch with station manager Carmela Palijo at 322-4190. (PR)
