New Dandan school has 18 classrooms
The 18 classrooms at DanDan school will accommodate over 300 students from San Vicente school as Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio and other key government officials opened yesterday the new school to the public.
Together with their transfer, San Vicente’s yellow track teachers will also make the move to DanDan and will start classes after the spring break next month until the remaining of the school year.
However, for this coming school year, DanDan is expected to welcome 400 students.
Its opening rites yesterday also celebrated the many contributions made by parents and the community in preparing the school for the children.
Classrooms were ready with their books and desks, while other reference materials were donated to the school. A complete set of encyclopedia was delivered to the school courtesy of Mr. Joseph Babauta, a generous parent.
Plants were also brought to the school from various donors. While PTA officers from San Vicente School came in with 16 water dispensers for DanDan.
PTA president Roman Benavente said DanDan school started as a vision six years ago. He asked government officials to pursue the completion of Kagman school as scheduled which will house 600 students.
Commissioner of Education Rita H. Inos thanked parents for their support to the new school. Likewise she told parents who were present during the opening ceremonies to support the studies of their children.
Together with the 16 classrooms, the school has a multipurpose center and administration building. Its students are also allowed to use the nearby baseball field.
