GCA Tinian hosts youth camp

Grace Christian Academy of Tinian is hosting the inter-island youth camp from April 16 to 20 at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel with over 400 people from Saipan, Rota, and Guam expected to attend the annual activity.

Eileen Lang, camp director and GCA’s third grade teacher and youth pastor, said camp speakers, musicians and other staff are from Bloomington, Minnesota; and Portales, New Mexico will be participating in the youth camp.

Sponsors for this camp include the Tinian Mayor’s Office, the Tinian Municipal Council, Pepsi Cola, Island Apparel and the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino.

Activities during this event will include evening rallies with Rev. Dick Gruber, JR High camp speaker, and Rev. Darin Poli, SR High camp speaker. Other activities are swimming, hiking, sports, and a talent show on Thursday the 18th. Each morning the campers will attend workshops on photography, video, choir, drama, art, Bible quiz, and public speaking.
The theme for this years camp is “Life!” This is one of the largest youth events held in the islands each year.
