Junior League gets exciting

Comets beat Toros, 7-6 – Thomas Guerrero had 2 hits while J.P. Sablan and Seth Sablan chipped in with 2 runs a piece as the Comets won their 2nd straight without a loss, dropping the Toros 7-6 in a thrilling and exciting ball game. Ryan Duenas slammed his second home run clearing the left field wall and knocking in 2 runs as well as scoring 3 times. Teammate Tom Borja had 2 hits in the losing effort.

Jets def. Twins, 26-5 – Aldebert Santos went 4 for 4 with 4 runs including a double. Matt Kintol, Justin Dela Cruz, John Arriola and Darcy Reyes all with 2 hits while Pat Alepuyo scored 3 times including 2 RBI’s as the Jets ran over the Matuis Twins 26-5 in a game shortened to 5 innings due to the 10 run mercy rule. Ryan Sablan had 2 hit and 2 RBI’s. Teammate Sid Sablan scored twice in the losing effort. It’s the second straight win for the Jets while the Twins suffered their 2nd set back.

Ol’Aces beat Tanapag Braves, 16-15 – Ol’Aces scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning edging the Braves 16-15. Jonathan Sablan went 5 for 6, scored 3 times and knocked in 3 runs. Jack Lizama and Jeffrey Isaac chipped in 3 runs a piece for the winning team. B.J. Sablan took one out deep to left and teammate Myron San Nicolas scored 4 times in the losing effort.

Senior League – The Ol’Aces defeated the Pirates 12-10 and in the 2nd game, the Southern Hustlers defeated the Comets 11-5 in the Senior League action.

Big League – Jeremiah Suel cleared the left field wall for a homerun, knocked in 4 runs and scored 3 times. Jonathan Jones had 2 hits and 3 runs scored and teammate Daryl Concepcion scored 3 times as the Expos defeated the Starz 11-1 in a 10 run mercy rule. Tony Benavente scored the lone run for the Starz in the losing side.
