Filipino singer ‘April Boy’ joins Pistang Pilipino celebrations

Celebrations for the 106th anniversary of Philippine Independence on June 12 continued until yesterday, with Filipino groups staging from the American Memorial Park a motorcade that culminated at the Civic Center, the site for the Pistang Pilipino event guested by popular Filipino singer April “Boy” Regino.

Many scrambled for position near the stage, bringing out their cameras to take pictures of Regino, who threw out souvenir caps to the crowd.

The stage became the center for entertainment, with radio announcer Kuya JR emceeing a whole-day presentation of song and dance numbers, and others.

The Pistang Pilipino event literally provided a feast for the Filipino community and guests who enjoyed Filipino delicacies and varieties of food from the booths of different Filipino organizations.
