This weekend, the Laolao Bay Golf Resort west course will host the 3rd Annual Mount Carmel School Board of Directors Golf Tournament, and the Refalawasch Golf Association plans to support the fundraising effort of the local learning institution by including the scores recorded by RGA members from the tournament into the calculations for the March Ace of the Month.

According to RGA president Jess Wabol, the combination of the two tournaments this Saturday, March 19, is a win-win scenario.

“It helps them with their fundraising and it will add to the points for the Ace of the Month,” said Wabol.

Wabol added that the customary $30 RGA fee will be reduced to $20 for Saturday’s event, and that interested duffers can still avail of the year-round membership fee of $60.

Check-in times for Saturday’s tournament will begin at 6:30am, with 7:30am tee times.

Interested golfers will receive their greens fees, a golf cart, a prize, and a banquet for their donation of $100. During the tournament banquet that follows the action on the links, organizers will award an assortment of cash, prizes, and trophies.
