SKN continues to have its way in the World Organized Rocball High School League, picking up its fifth win of the 2005 season with a 47-34 victory over Mwaliyas Wednesday afternoon at the Marianas High School Green Court.

After slipping by with an 11-10 win in the opening set, SKN made things a little easier and opened with a goal by Dennis Camacho, before cruising past Mwaliyas for a 15-8 win in the second set to grab an eight-point advantage in the overall score, 26-18.

Mwaliyas finally found a way to penetrate the SKN defense and began to cut their deficit in the third set. Mwaliyas would pull the right strings and head into the fourth set down by just four points, 30-34, behind their 12-8 win.

But their celebration was cut short as SKN recovered and blew away them away to close the match and juice out, 13-4. Camacho highlighted SKN’s run again, this time closing the match with another goal.

Danny Peter led SKN and was the game’s heavy hitter with 10 points after hitting two aces and three kees, while Camacho had six points on his two goals.

Jeremy Winkfield, Darrel Roligat, and Pedro Iguel led Mwaliyas with four points apiece.

WOR High School action continues today with Mwaliyas taking on Bwibwi at the Green Court.

Action is also featured every Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning at 7pm in the WOR Community League.
