The Attorney General’s Office yesterday charged two men with theft in two separate criminal cases it lodged at the Superior Court, including against one who allegedly stole a puppy.

Joseph Emul of Chalan Kiya and Lann Anko Billy of Koblerville both face a count of theft.

CNMI chief prosecutor Jeffrey Moots charged the 38-year-old Emul for allegedly stealing two commercial shovels and four commercial-type window frames from one Goni Osman on Saipan last May 23. Emul also allegedly stole a machete and a puppy from Osman.

Meanwhile, Moots charged the 37-year-old Billy for stealing a bottle of liquor from the New Happy Market in Garapan.

The court summoned Billy and Emul to appear before it on June 20 and July 5, respectively.
