Local video earns two prestigious awards
An Island Invaded, a film produced by Pacific Resources for Education and Learning, has received two Telly awards: winner in the Documentary category and Finalist in the Cultural category.
This 50-minute documentary presents firsthand accounts of the World War II occupation of Guam and was first shown at the 2004 Hawaii International Film Festival.
Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film products. This highly respected national and international competition receives over 10,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries.
