Peter takes RGA August Ace

The rain in Saipan hasn’t spoiled all of the area sporting events, as local duffer Eddie Peter bagged the Refaluwasch Golf Association’s Ace of the Month for August by landing a gross score of 73 during the 10th Annual Tournament of Champions at Laolao Bay Golf Resort last weekend.

Peter’s 5-handicap gave him a net score of 68 to earn his RGA laurels, and it was also good enough for him to take the title in the Senior’s Division of the TOC as well.

The RGA would also like to thank it’s members for participating in the 10th Annual Tournament of Champions that raised $55,000 for the TOC Beautification Fund that is currently being put to work in Garapan.

Congratulations were also due for Sasaki Oliver for winning TOC and for landing the slot for the Johnnie Walker Classic Pro-Am. Pats on the back are also due for second place finisher Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho and second runner-up Jess Wabol

According to RGA president Wabol, the September qualifier is this Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort. Check-in time is set for 11am, with tee times at 12noon.
