S. Korean magazine features scuba diving in the Marianas

South Korea’s An An Magazine recently conducted a photo shoot on Saipan for a special feature in their September 2005 issue. The magazine, which is read by 60,000 women, age 20-30, will feature one of South Korea’s popular young stars, Bae Doo Na.
Ms. Bae was able to receive the ultimate scuba diving experience during the three-day visit on Saipan. Aside from the scuba diving feature, various tourist sites and beaches on Saipan will also be acknowledged.
This six-page feature of the CNMI will provide an exposure value of nearly $100,000.00 worth of free exposure in Korea.
“The MVA support various media visits to the islands of Saipan, Tinian and Rota for this purpose. Through membership support, the MVA can leverage our marketing dollars and reach a paramount of interested individuals who wish to visit the islands,” stated Vicky Benavente, MVA managing director.
An An Magazine received tremendous support from the Korean Tour Association of Saipan who provided the tour guides, transportation and diving activities for the group. They were accommodated by both Pacific Islands Club and the Saipan World Resort. (PR)
