A meeting to organize a CNMI Chapter of the Association of the United States Army, also known as AUSA, is scheduled for Oct. 26, at 5:30pm.

The meeting will be facilitated by the CNMI’s Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, retired Presiding Judge Edward Manibusan. The meeting will be at the Army Reserve Center in Puerto Rico Industrial Park across Bank of Hawaii. The venue will be in classroom in Building F.

The session will consist of a DVD presentation for individual members and corporate members. Members of the Armed Forces, soldiers and officers—whether active duty, reserve or retired—are invited to attend. Members of the business community are also invited to the presentation and consider becoming corporate members. All veteran associations and chapters are also welcome and are encouraged to become members of AUSA.

AUSA has served as a powerful voice in the U.S. Congress, drafted and sponsored numerous bills benefiting the nation’s soldiers and has also hosted numerous professional development sessions to showcase the wonderful work that soldiers and the Army as a whole contributed to the American people and its allies. Furthermore, AUSA supported numerous industries that catered to soldier education and training, survivability, equipment improvements, as well as soldier-civilian transition and career changes that were made available for all soldiers and their families.
