COMMUNITY BRIEFS
OPEN HOUSE AT THE MHO
Along with the bustling holidays of November and December comes the Open House Tea and Soda Time planned specifically for all CNMI Students who live in Hawaii. The Liaison Officer, Staff and Student Services Coordinator welcome CNMI students with extended arms to celebrate in the family warmth and interaction at the Liaison Office.
According to the Liaison Officer, “We want to inform CNMI Students about the services that we render and provide other information about the CNMI government. We would like to especially share the fine treats, which include our local finger appetizers, desserts and subtle harmony and love that this beautiful season brings to us.”
Open House at the Liaison Office is scheduled from Nov. 14 through Dec. 7, 2005, daily from 8am until 5pm.
Jean D. Sablan, Marianas Hawaii Liaison Officer invites all CNMI Students to “share in our unique hospitality to enhance your living and studying experiences in Hawaii.”
“We want our CNMI students to know that Public Laws 1-1 and 1-38 were the original laws that created the Marianas Hawaii and Guam Offices and that Public Law 3-92 was the final law which further clarified the functions of the Liaison Offices. We also want our students to be aware that our Liaison Offices were created not only for CNMI Medical Referral patients and escorts, but also for our CNMI Students,” said the Liaison Officer.
