To the thief (thieves) that literally stole Christmas

You entered my mother’s office and stole all our Christmas presents. Maybe you are poor and maybe you want to have something for Christmas and maybe you want to sell the things you stole from us so you can have money for Christmas. So I am thinking that maybe I can forgive you, but you hurt me, because even though my mom has a good job and many people think that we have a lot of money, my sister, my brother and I always had to work for what we wanted.

My mom and dad never just give us anything just because we wanted them. So you see, we had to work real hard all year just to get the special things that we have been asking our parents to get us but did not earn when we asked for them.

My parents always reminded us that “…we have to earn what we want and deserve what we need.” So if you think that you are not hurting us by taking all our presents away then I want you to think about this: Yes, maybe my parents will not feel hurt, because maybe they also think you are poor and they feel sorry for you. But, as for me, I do not want to feel sorry for you, because you took away the things that I worked very hard for.

I worked hard by showing my parents that I work hard at school and make good grades. I worked hard because even though it is very hard to be good, I always think about doing good things, because I was taught that good things happen to people who do good things. I worked hard, because even though I am tired, I do extra things for my mom and dad, because I want to show them that I appreciate everything they do for me. I worked hard, because I want to grow up and be just like my mom who is smart and can do many things for us and the people she loves. And then here you come and in one night you took away all the things I worked very hard for all year. I do not feel sorry for you, and when they catch you I am going to tell everyone about you so that you will not have any friends until you prove to people that they can trust you again around them.

I will pray that you will get caught and I will pray that God will guide you to do better things and become a better person. Until then I will not feel sorry for you! And, I want my presents back! And then maybe I can forgive you after that!
