Saipan Mayor Juan B. Tudela will sign a mayoral proclamation tomorrow, Nov. 19, 2008, at 10am to designate Nov. 27, as “Feed Saipan Thursday” in the Municipality of Saipan.

Traditionally during this time of year, Tudela solicits food and clothing donations that will be turned over to Karidat Social Services on this day to remember the homeless, hungry and the needy. Powdered and liquid milk are highly appreciated.

Tudela also encourages Saipan residents to fast for two-full meals on this day, and money set aside to buy for one meal can be donated to Karidat to assist needy residents.

All food and clothing donations can be delivered to the Saipan Mayor’s Office below the Department of Labor in San Antonio on or before Nov. 27, 2008.

For more information about donating, call Tony A. Benavente at 234-6208 or 6280. All generous donations are greatly appreciated. (PR)
