In an effort to eliminate drunk driving this holiday season, Pepsi will be initiating the Pepsi’s Drive Safe Holiday Program. The program will run from Nov. 21, 2008, until Jan. 4, 2009, and will be offered to all on-premise establishments. All bars and restaurants participating in the program will receive an entrance door placard identifying them as a partner in the Pepsi Drive Safe Holiday Program as well as establishment-wide awareness signage and reminders.

The Pepsi Drive Safe Holiday Program will encourage customers to sign up as a sober alcohol-free designated driver in exchange for complimentary Pepsi or bottled water, provided by Pepsi Distributor Pacific Trading Company. Posters as well as table tents will carry the campaign message “Pepsi reminds you to Drive Safe. Be a Designated Driver.” All participating bars will be provided “Pepsi Drive Safe” wristbands.

Customers who wish to participate in the program can simply tell the bartender or server that they are a designated driver. Customers will then be asked to sign a pledge sheet and will receive a “Pepsi Drive Safe” wristband identifying them to servers and bartenders and entitling them complimentary Pepsi products or Aquafina water.

For additional information on the Pepsi Drive Safe Holiday Program, contact Glen Hunter at 670-322-6624. The Pepsi Drive Safe Holiday Program is open to all on-premise (bar and restaurant) locations in Saipan. Pepsi reminds everyone to enjoy the holidays with a designated driver.
