RGA May qualifier today

Refaluwasch Golf Association will hold its May Ace of the Month Qualifying Tournament today, May 29, at the Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort.

According to RGA president Jess Wabol check in time is set at 11am with tee time scheduled an hour later at 12pm. RGA will have slots for 20 participants.

Trench Warz III: Commotion on May 27

Trench Tech-Purebred Saipan will host Trench Warz III: Commotion on May 27 at the school’s gym behind Moylans Insurance in Garapan.

Trench Warz organizer Cuki Alvarez said he is looking for fighters who are willing to showcase their mix martial arts skills, and is setting a deadline of May 20 for fighters to sign up.

The featured fights will be boxing, submission wrestling, no-hold-barred, and full-contact matches, which could go up to more than 16 contests.

Tickets cost $20 and will be made available soon.

The event is also a fundraising activity for the wrestling federation, which is busy preparing and training their athletes for the 6th Micronesian Games in June.

Among the standouts who are expected to be on the card are Frank “The Crank” Camacho, Trench II main event winner Jason Tarkong, Slade “The Palauan Phenom” Adelbai, and hard hitting Kelvin Fitial.

San Roque Golf Tournament on May 28

San Roque Church will hold the 12th Annual San Roque Golf Tournament on May 28 at the Mariana Country Club Golf Resort in Marpi.

Hole-in-one challenges and other great prizes are in store for duffers who sign up in any of the tournament’s six categories—Championship Flight, A Flight, B Flight, C Flights, Ladies Flight, and Seniors Flight.

The tournament will have a start 12pm shotgun start and is expected to be over by 5pm, which will be in time for the presentation of prizes and trophies for the Top 3 players in each of the six flights.

As an added bonus, refreshments such as drinks and sandwiches will be served throughout the tournament.

Registration for the 12th Annual San Roque Golf Tournament will begin at 9am on tournament day and participants are required to give a $100 donation.

The donation will cover the cost of the event and will include green fee, golf cart, refreshments, trophies, among others. Those who want to join the closest to the pin competition, must register and shell out $10.
