I Don’t Know tops USSP billiards tourney
I Don’t Know knew what to do to win, and did it as the team finished as champion of the 3rd USS Peleliu Club In-house Billiards Tournament.
After nine weeks of stiff competition, I Don’t Know was able to rise above all and claimed the championship crown last Thursday at the club in Garapan.
The team, comprised of Ron Chisato, Rick Rengiil, Edward Suzuki, and Joe Sechou, finished with a tournament-best total of 21 points.
Second place went to Why Not, which finished just two points back with 19 markers. The team was made up of Ken Phillips, Taylor Watanabe, Chris Chlarson, and John Mongami.
For their part, Ace Elameto, Marvin Baulechong, Joel Salamat, and Shadel Daniel of Bom Easy took home third place with 17 points, while Annie Tesiro, Rose Phillips, Juan Ngimak, and Jay Olopai of Bank It placed fourth with 14 points.
With their finishes, I Don’t Know, Why Not, and Bom Easy each earned cash prizes and trophies.
Competition was held every Thursday and Sunday night.
A banquet party for all the players of each team will be held this Sunday, Oct. 29, at USSP Club.
Meanwhile, organizer Rose Phillips is calling on other bars to form teams to compete in an upcoming tournament to be held on Monday and Wednesday nights.
