Kudos to Tropical Island Transportation!!! I’ve read in the printed news and saw on the TV news stories regarding the new business “Tropical Island.” It is said that the Attorney General’s Office and Department of Commerce are looking into whether the business is operating legally or not. I don’t know if they are or not, but I do know that this is a business that is long overdue. WE NEED THIS KIND OF SERVICE! It serves the local community as well as visitors.

I have used Tropical Island a couple of times and find their service excellent. It is refreshing to see our young people try to better their lives while serving the community at the same time. We must encourage such venture, not discourage it or try to throw bureaucratic monkey wrench their way.

I hope and pray that in the course of “looking into” this business, if any problem is found, these government agencies, as well as the CNMI Legislature and the administration, will promptly work together in making sure Tropical Island’s services are not jeopardized by some unnecessary bureaucratic red tape.

I beg our legislators and the governor to please do whatever they have to do to keep this direly needed service going.
