Sonny Flores’ net score of 73 will be the score to beat when the Refaluwasch Golf Association holds its November Ace of the Month Tournament tomorrow, Oct. 28, at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort east course.

Flores fired the score to beat during RGA’s November qualifier held last Oct. 15 at the Kagman venue’s west course.

The former CNMI National Men’s Basketball head coach actually carded a gross score of 85 following a 43 in the front nine and a 42 in the back, but his net score was trimmed when his 12 handicap was brought to the equation.

Previous monthly winners Gus Camacho (32-37, gross 79, net 69) Adam Hardwicke (38-38, 76, 70), and Jess Wabol (36-37, 73, 72) also fared better than Flores, but as per RGA rules, current Ace of the Month winners could not win more than once and thus, the three were disqualified from the race.

The RGA November Ace is set at 11am with tee time scheduled an hour later at 12pm.

In related news, RGA president Jess Wabol is reminding Ace of the Month winners that they need to have played in a minimum of six tournaments (including qualifiers) in order to qualify for the yearend RGA Club Championship. Only two tournaments remain before the RGA Club Championship—December qualifier and the December Ace.
