GUAM—The Search & Rescue Group Guam held its quarterly search and rescue exercise Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Response units from the U.S. Coast Guard, the Guam Fire Department, the Guam Police Department, the U.S. Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary participated in a search and rescue scenario designed to exercise the group’s ability to communicate and provide a coordinated response to distress on the water.
The planned scenario involved the aerial evacuation by a U.S. Navy HSC-25 helicopter of an injured person from a Guam Police Department small boat.

The exercise was conducted in the vicinity of Tumon Bay. [I](PR)
