The Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan will once again scare younger community members in the CNMI with its second Haunted House starting tonight at the Hibiscus Hall.

Fiesta’s restaurant manager Rodel Ortega said the premier Hotel in Garapan is transforming the ballroom into the scariest place on the island for tonight, tomorrow night and Halloween night on Tuesday itself.

“Due to its success last year, the hotel will provide another entertainment for the kids this year,” he said. Last year, the hotel lured in nearly 900 participants.

This year the Haunted House would be more fun as two of the island’s biggest schools, Marianas High School and Mt. Carmel School, will be participating to add to a more “frightening experience inside the Haunted House,” said Ortega.

He said the hotel would start its Halloween activities this weekend so that kids could get a head start on their celebrations. The Haunted House will take a night rest on Monday; the scaring continues on Halloween night.

The entrance fee to the Haunted House is more affordable this year, said Ortega. Last year the entrance fee was $5 per person; this year the hotel reduced it to $4 per person.

Ortega said the kids and young adults can expect more rooms inside the Haunted House. There will be 13 rooms inside the Hibiscus Hall, which has been transformed into a maze. Each room will have different scary characters and figures.

On Oct. 31, starting at 3pm, kids will be treated to a Trick or Treat inside the Haunted House for only $3 per child. This year, the hotel is confining the Trick or Treat adventure for kids inside the Haunted House. However, Ortega said, the Haunted House would have friendlier ghosts that will be giving candies to the kids.
