SN-Five ‘TIQ’ tops Women’s Thursday league
The bowlers of SN-Five ‘TIQ’ were recognized for their efforts through out the season and were crowned champions of the Women’s Thursday Night League last Thursday at the Saipan Bowling Center.
The team, comprised of Chris Camacho, Donna Hensley, Eve Camacho, Flo Fleming, Rizza Hensley, Yho Villavicencio, Tilde Verdaguer, and Jenny Santos, took the top spot after recording a league-best 63-33 win-loss record.
Giving the SN-Five crew a run for their money was Whatever, which finished just two games back with a 61-35 record for second place, while Budweiser took third with a 60.5-35.5 card. MARPAC/Bud Light also finished with a 60.5-35.5 record.
Other teams that competed include Alexia’s (58.5-37.5), Pugua Power (57-39), Golden Girls (54.5-41.5), J’s Team (51.5-44.5), No Fear (48.5-47.5), Baby Gurlz (24-72), Refaluwasch Pride (23-73), and No Choice (5-91).\
The awards ceremony also featured league officials recognizing special accomplishments by teams in various categories.
Topping the high scratch game category was J’s Team with 891 pins, while Budweiser and SN-Five ‘TIQ’ placed second and third with 871 and 848 pins.\
J’s Team also topped the high handicap game category with 1,088 pins, followed by Budweiser and SN-Five ‘TIQ’ again with 1,074 and 1,072 pins.
SN-Five ‘TIQ’ was able to take the high scratch series with 2,401 pins, while J’S Team and Budweiser were right behind with 2,399 and 2,367 pins.
SN-Five ‘TIQ’ also reigned in the high handicap series with 3,048 pins. Whatever placed second with 3,022 pins and MARPAC/Bud Light took third with 3,009 pins.
Officials also recognized individuals for their efforts, and leading the way Chris Camacho of SN-Five ‘TIQ’ and Diana Camacho of J’s Team.
Chris Camacho won the high scratch with 224 pins, followed by Diana Camacho, Eve Camacho, and Izang Phillips with 221.
Chris Camacho was also the most improved bowler after increasing her average by 23.52 pins per game. She was followed by Stephanie Blas of Baby Gurlz with an improvement of 12.13 pins per game, while Rose Masayos of Pugua Power improved by 11.8 pins.
For her part, Diana Camacho won the High Individual Average after sporting a 166.71 pins per game average throughout the season. Emi Williams of Budweiser was second in the category with a 163.98 average, while Del Camacho of MARPAC/Bud Light was right behind with a 159.68 average.
Diana Camacho also won the high scratch series with 598 pins, followed by Eve Camacho with 584 and Jackie Limes of Refaluwasch Pride with 580 pins.
Limes had a solid season as she won the high handicap series category with 745 pins, followed by Chris Camacho with 692 pins and Diana Camacho with 688 pins.
Meanwhile, Lydia Villagomez of No Fear topped the high handicap game category with 266 pins, while Chris Camacho and Phillips followed with 264 and 261 pins.
