Pacific Xtreme Combat Preba Hao under cards were just as explosive as the two four-man battles Saturday at the Saipan World Resort Royal Taga Hall.

While Manny Laniyo and Charleston Aiken of Gracie Barra were victorious in the main events, a bunch of other fighters also stepped up and proved themselves in front of a jam-packed crowd.

Among those who has already proven himself to be a tough fighter was Giovanni Sablan of Trench Tech Purebred Saipan.

A last-minute addition to the card, Sablan showcased his skills with an exclamation point as he improved his mix martial arts record to 4-1 after beating Vinnie Camacho via technical knockout.

Camacho went for a guillotine choke on Sablan, but the Trench Tech fighter was able to work his way out of the jam before landing a strong right punch that knocked his opponent down. Saban worked to the corner and unleashed a flurry of punches and some knee blows before the referee stopped the fight.

Also posting a big win was Anthony Robert after he defeated John Tudela of Gracie Barra via split decision in their heavyweight contest.

Robert seemed to have a bit of an upper hand at the start as he threw a coupe of kicks and landed a strong punch. Tudela tried to kick Robert, but the move backfired as Robert caught Tudela’s leg and forced his opponent to the mat. Robert, however, stepped back and let Tudela get back to his feet. An unintentional low blow by Robert resulted in a five-minute break for Tudela to recover, and shortly after he did, the first round came to an end.

Both started the second round striking. Robert got a point deducted after punching behind Tudela’s head. Robert managed to get a hold of his opponent, but Tudela was able to get out of it right before end of the round.

Both fighters look exhausted at the start of third round, and again returned to a striking duel before the round ended.

In the end, the two judges scored the fight in favor of Roberts, 29-28 and 29-27, and one judge favored Tudela, 29-27.

It was also a big night for Bernie “The Shadow of Death” Neth of Trench Tech as he earned his first win in mix martial arts combat after getting Lucio Omar of Dragon Tribe to submit.

Neth was able to land strong punches to start off the fight, and was able to take his opponent down to the mat. Neth landed a couple more punches, but Omar, who won in September’s PXC Preba Hao, was able to work his way off ground and the two returned to their feet.

It didn’t last long, though, as Neth took Omar down again. After the two were brought back to the middle of the ring, Neth mounted his opponent and executed a side choke that resulted in Omar tapping out.

For his part, Myron San Nicolas of CHOKECHAIN was successful as he defeated Chris Sablan via technical knockout.

Sablan threw a leg kick to get the fight started, but San Nicolas was able to work his opponent to the ground.

San Nicolas got solid positioning and mounted his opponent before landing strong punches to win the fight as the referee stepped in.

Fellow CHOKECHAIN fighter Syl Teregeyo also had a solid performance as he improved his MMA record to 2-0 with a victory over Jeremy Faisao.

Faisao was tough and landed a strong punch in the first seconds of the bout. Teregeyo went down to mat, and Faisao tried to put on a submission hold.

Teregeyo, however, worked out of the hold and was able to land a punch on his opponent. Faisao seemed a bit confused as he took time to look at the referee, and Teregeyo took advantage. The CHOKECHAIN fighter attacked and with Faisao on the mat, began throwing punches for the win.

Dragon Tribe’s Joel Pangelinan also looked sharp as he defeated Joe Lisua in the second round of their bout.

Pangelinan was able to take his opponent down to the ground, but was soon cut in the eye, resulting in the referee stopping the fight.

After checking on the cut, McCreadie got the fight going again, and Pangelinan was able to mount Lisua and throw a couple of punches.

Lisua reversed and take Pangelinan to ground, but Pangelinan was not going to be denied as he choke out his opponent for the win.

CHOKECHAIN’s Jay Tilipao also scored a big win after testing his skills and beating Jaime Hermosilla.

Both came out striking, but Tilipao was able to work his opponent to ground and mount him.

Hermosilla was defending well from the bottom position, though, preventing Tilipao from landing solid strikes.

With that, Tilipao worked to get better positioning, and did so before throwing more punches and wining after referee Baby Joe Taimanglo stopped the fight.
