BUS RIDER SAFETY PROCEDURE

Effective immediately, ALL bus riders must be at the designated bus stop to be eligible to ride to school. The safety of all bus riders has been brought to our attention in regards to pushing, shoving, sitting on sidewalk, and also hanging out at the mini-mart. All bus riders must be at the bus stop before arrival of the assigned school bus. The following safety guidelines must be followed by all bus riders to ensure their safety when waiting for their bus.

All riders must be at least four feet from the curb.
a. All riders must be in the immediate area of the bus stop.

b. All riders are to cross the street only when the bus is stopped and red lights are flashing

c. All riders are prohibited from pushing the door of the bus.

d. All riders are to maintain at least four feet from the curb until the bus comes to a complete stop.

e. There will be no pushing when boarding the bus.

All bus riders must follow the rules and that their safety is a priority to our department. Failure to comply will result in the loss of your privileges to ride any Public School System school bus. Any questions or comments, please contact us at 322-9457/58.[B][I] (PR)[/I][/B]
