The Zoning Board approved changes to the official zoning maps in a decision made on May 8. These changes, called “rezones,” are available for viewing in the Zoning Office or can be viewed or downloaded from the zoning website www.zoning.gov.mp.

Also on May 8, the Zoning Board approved circulation of proposed changes to the text requirements of the Saipan Zoning Law. Some changes were circulated for public review in April but on May 8, the board decided to revise the changes and to circulate them for another public review.

The Board is also circulating another set of proposed rezones for public review. A public open house will be held to explain these proposals and a public hearing will be held to take public formal comments.
