DPS to conduct OP/CR checkpoints on May 20 and 22
The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic section will be conducting Occupant Protection/Child Restraint (OP/CR) checkpoints on the days and times listed.
[B]May 20, 2008[/B]The first set up will be on Beach Road Susupe by Minachom Atdao. This operation will commence at approximately 9am and will terminate at approximately 10:15am.
The second set up will be on Beach Road Garapan by Bank Pacific. This operation will commence at approximately 4pm and will terminate at approximately 5:15pm.
Each checkpoint conducted will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) at each location. This activity is part of the Department of Public Safety’s efforts to deter and detect and ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.
In addition, the traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrols, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser activities.
[B]May 22, 2008[/B]The first set up will be on Chalan Pale Arnold Puerto Rico by Army Reserve Center. This operation will commence at approximately 8:30am and will terminate at approximately 9:45am.
The second set up will be on Chalan Pale Arnold Garapan by Saipan Museum. This operation will commence at approximately 4:30pm and will terminate at approximately 5:55pm.
Each checkpoint conducted will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) at each location. This activity is part of the Department of Public Safety’s efforts to deter and detect and ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.
