The Division of Environmental Quality has assigned all of the sampled beaches on Tinian a green flag.

This after none of the samples collected on the locations on Tinian contained excessive concentration of fecal indicator bacteria nor did they exceed the CNMI Marine Water Quality Standards.

DEQ analyzes water samples collected from Tinian’s recreational beaches and storm water drainages for the week as part of the regularly scheduled sampling.

The agency analyzed the samples of marine recreational and storm drainage water from 10 locations on Tinian this past week. DEQ welcomes all inquires as to the quality of the beach water. The public is encouraged to contact DEQ 664-8500 with any questions concerning this matter. (DEQ)
