The over The Reef Yacht Club will stage its 33rd Annual Laguna Regatta this weekend in the Saipan Lagoon between Managaha Island and the Tanapag shoreline.

According to OTRYC commodore Ron Smith, this year’s event will have six boats with 12 competitors, with Tony Stearns and Janet McCullough defending their long-standing possession of the brass bat.

Other teams taking part in this weekend’s regatta are Lino Olopai and Sixto Igisomar, Smith and Ted Parker, Tyce and Angie Mister, Cecilio Rakulipi and crew, and Mike Johnson and crew.

The route of the 33rd Annual Laguna Regatta will be the standard two to three buoy course between Managaha and Tanapag.

“Come out to Managaha for a picnic on Saturday or watch from the Saipan shoreline in Garapan and see if Tony can hold off the entire field while simultaneously battling jetlag,” said Smith. (OTRYC)
