The Marianas March Against Cancer is one of the largest fundraising occasions in the CNMI. The event is not just to raise money but also to raise awareness and encourage hope for those struggling with the disease.
Last year, thousands of people attended the Marianas March Against Cancer, and contributed over $80,000 in support. Participants walked, ran, and danced around the event’s oval course for over 12 hours.
The Commonwealth Cancer Association is the sponsor for MMAC, which is a volunteer driven organization that ensures that all funds increased are applied locally. (Jacqueline Dela Cruz)
