PAWS president Busenkell joins AGO

Pet Assistance and Welfare Services president Katie Busenkell has joined the Office of the Attorney General.

Busenkell confirmed with the Saipan Tribune yesterday that she started work at the AGO last week.

The new prosecutor said she would be doing immigration cases that are currently being handled by chief prosecutor Kevin Lynch.

Lynch replaced Jeffery Warfield Sr. as chief of the AGO’s Criminal Division.

Busenkell refused to comment when asked about the scope of her new job.

Busenkell used to work for two years as law clerk for Superior Court associate judge Kenneth Govendo.

Under her leadership at PAWS, the association has been very active in the community about animal welfare education and beautification program, among other things.
