The 2008 Saipan Swim Club Golf Tournament will tee off as planned tomorrow, June 7, at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort.

SSC head coach Michael Stewart said the fundraising tournament will have a showtime of 6am with shotgun start scheduled at 7am.

He said the tournament will use the ever-popular double Peoria format and entry fee is $90.

First place is assured $300 and a trophy, second place is $200 and a trophy, and third place is $100 and a trophy.

Stewart said aside from the awards for the Top 3 in the double Peoria competition, first place in the low gross for men and women will also take home “awesome and fabulous” in-kind prizes as well as handsome trophies.

An awards banquet will also be held immediately after the conclusion of the golf tournament at Laolao Bay Golf Resort.

Stewart also took time to thank the 2008 Saipan Swim Club Golf Tournament sponsors, namely Deloite & Associates Accounting, Pacific Rim International Realty, Law Offices of Colin Thompson, and Jess Wabol and the Refaluwasch Golf Association

The 2008 Saipan Swim Club Golf Tournament will benefit the swimmers of the SSC.

Scheduling snafus snuffed out this last year’s 2nd Annual Saipan Swim Club Golf Tournament.
