The playoff of the Inaugural FMI Inter-Color Basketball League returns this evening at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium with two games slated in the open division.

According to league coordinator Boy Garcia, the first game will have No. 2 Ol’Aces taking on No. 7 Price Costco, while the second match will have No. 3 GEC Pawnshop squaring off against No. 4 SMF Seabridge.

True to its name, Advance X-Terminators already advanced to the second round of the playoffs after winning the open division pennant with a 7-1 win-loss mark. Ol’Aces actually tied Advance but yielded the top spot because it lost to the team in the elimination round.

Star Water and MIGS failed to reach the playoffs after registering lowly cards of 1-7 and 0-8, respectively, in the elimination round.

Taga Warriors and Tasi Tours Giants moved on to the next round of their respective divisions as the playoffs of the Inaugural FMI Inter-Color Basketball League finally got going last Thursday night at the Ada Gym.

In the curtain raiser, Taga Warriors bucked a slow start to beat CTSI, 72-69, in the masters division. Tasi Tours, meanwhile, used its height advantage to the hilt in exacting a 99-90 loss to Shirley’s Coffee Shop/Blue House in nightcap in the open division.

The other masters game waiting on the wings is the GEC Pawnshop-Bank of Saipan tussle slated next play date. Fixers was eliminated after finishing regular season with a 1-7 record.
