Two stage armed robbery at CK store
Two armed men robbed a store along Beach Road in Chalan Kanoa Thursday night.
After getting an undetermined amount of money and merchandise from Joy Market, the suspects fled the scene, according to the Department of Public Safety yesterday.
DPS spokesperson Lei Ogumoro said no one was hurt in the robbery.
Ogumoro said police officers were dispatched to Joy Market after DPS received a report about a robbery incident on Thursday at 6:49pm.
Preliminary police’s investigation showed that two unidentified men entered the store and demanded money from the establishment’s two employees.
The victims said the suspects held them at knifepoint.
One suspect was described as armed with a knife and was wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
The other suspect was armed with a machete and was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt with black stripes and black pants.
Both suspects were clad in white cloth with black designs over their heads to conceal their face.
“This case is under further investigation,” Ogumoro said.
She said the Crime Stoppers Program is offering up to $1,000 cash reward to anyone who can give information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
Last March 21, a man staged a robbery at Capitol Poker in Sadog Tasi in broad daylight. After a few days, the suspect was arrested.
