Water outage in some villages tomorrow

The villages of Kannat Tabla, Fina Sisu, As Terlaje, Chalan Kiya and Chalan Laulau will experience water outages tomorrow, Aug. 2, 2008 from 7:30am to 5:00pm. The Commonwealth Utilities Corp., through its contractor, AIC Marianas, will replace two 14-inch mainline valves on the main transmission pipeline from the Isley Booster One pumping station to the new one million-gallon Kannat Tabla reservoir. Completion of the replacement work will allow for better water flow and control into the Kannat Tabla reservoir.

The tentative outage schedule for August 2 in the affected areas is as follows:

Kannat Table: 4am to 7:30am

Fina Sisu: am to 7:30am

As Terlaje, NMC: 5am to 7:30am

Chalan Kiya: No water

Chalan Laulau 5pm to 9pm

Residents are encouraged to practice strict water conservation. Rainwater catchment systems/water tanks should be cleaned and float valves installed or replaced to ensure that water does not overflow. [B][I](PR)[/I][/B]
