Fight card out for Predator or Prey

The fight card for tomorrow evening’s Predator or Prey is finally out and local mixed martial arts fans have 10 slam-bang bouts to look forward to.

The highlight of the event would be the exciting heavyweight (265 lbs. maximum) fight between Predator Combat Team’s Charlz “The Predator” Aiken and Marianas Elite’s Kelvin “The Big Hit” Fitial.

Five middleweight bouts will also spice up the competition with the slimmed-down Slade “The Rage” Adelbai of Trench Tech taking on Syl “The Deal” Teregeyo of Marianas Elite in one of them.

Mainland-based MMA fighter Johnny Mercurio, fighting out of UTC, Huntington Beach, will take on D.A.T. Gym’s Luka “Bad News” Iakopo Tapua’ialupe in another 185-lb. contest.

The other middleweight fights will have Predator Combat Team’s Bryson Sablan squaring off against team Xtreme’s “Kill” Bill Saures, Predator Combat Team’s John “The Jackhammer” Borja taking on Trench Tech’s Darrel “The Derailer” Salas, and Choke Chain’s Lionel “Da Hellion” Borja going up against Trench Tech’s “Big” Ron Chisato.

Predator or Prey will also feature fights in the welterweight (170 lbs.), lightweight (155 lbs.), featherweight (145 lbs), and bantamweight (135 lbs.) classes.

Trench Tech founder Cuki “The Flying Cockroach” Alvarez will battle Pete “The Dragon” Guerrero of Dragon Tribe in the welterweight division, while the lightweight match will pit Nate “The Terrible” Flores of Predator Combat Team against Fasi “Quick Draw” Jess of Trench Tech.

The featherweight bout will have Giovanni “Palaksi” Sablan of Trench Tech challenging Jerome Norita of Marianas Elite, while the bantamweight fight will see independent fighter “Tabi” Jay Muna test Team Zalaka’s Andrew “Top Gun” Sablan.

Aside from the 10 MMA fights, Predator or Prey will also have a ladies boxing match pitting Soledad Tenorio against Tara Namauleg.

Predator or Prey is the first foray into the local MMA scene by Gorilla Warfare Productions, which especially flew in UFC veteran Kimo Leopoldo to help promote the event.

Leopoldo incidentally visited PTI’s new Wireless Express Center at the TSL Plaza yesterday and signed autographs for fans.
