PTI govt/biz basketball schedule revised anew

The Department of Public Safety pulled out of the Inaugural PTI Inter-Government/Business Basketball League prompting organizers to change the competition’s schedule.

From 12 teams, the league will now have 11 squads battling for the coveted championship trophy.

Changes in the game schedule will be implemented starting tonight with Aguaguat taking on the Bank of Guam Express in the first game at 6:30pm. The second game of the night will have 2006 champion Tinian facing Department of Corrections at 8pm.

Tomorrow, the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs will duel Legislature in the first game, while Autonomous will challenge DOC.

Autonomous will play back-to-back games, as it collides with the Commonwealth Ports Authority in the first match this Friday, while NMC battles undefeated PTI.

PTI is still unbeaten after downing DCCA Monday night, 100-89.

Nine more games are set for the next two weeks before the playoffs begin on Aug. 26.

DOC will face CPA in the first match on Aug. 18, while PTI will play DPW/P&S in the second game.

On Aug. 19, DCCA will meet DPW/P & S in the lone match of the night. Autonomous will fight Aguaguat in the curtain raiser on Aug. 20, while the NMC-CPA tussle will be featured in the second match.

Games schedule on Aug. 20 will be Autonomous vs. Aguaguat and NMC against CPA; DCCA vs. DOC on Aug. 21; Tinian vs Aguaguat on Aug. 22 and Aguaguat vs. PTI and Autonomous vs. NMC on Aug. 25.
