Miss Marianas to receive key for one-year use of car from Triple J

Recently crowned 2009 Miss Marianas-Universe Sorene A. Maratita will receive today the key to a brand new car from Triple J Motors that she will use for a year as one of her prizes in winning the pageant.

Maratita also won $1,000 cash and $1,000 scholarship from event organizer Stellar Marianas.

She also won an all-expense paid travel opportunity to compete at the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant, courtesy of Northwest, as well as in the 2009 Miss International Pageant.

Maratita will also get to travel to approved Marianas Visitors Authority off-island events, a free cell phone from PTI, and a one-year supply of Ponds, Doves and Suave products from Marianas Pacific Distributors.

She also won a one-year membership and personal trainer at Gold’s Gym Saipan, $100 gift certificate from Sportica, professional model portfolio from MHS productions, four piece luggage set from Stellar Marianas, $100 gift certificate from Pena House Boutique, and one year all-expense paid representation at approved CNMI-wide events.

Maratita will also have an opportunity to create and implement a Community Project under her name, assisted by Stellar Marianas.

The 18-year old fresh graduate of Saipan Southern High School won three of the six special awards—Miss Photogenic, Stellar Award and Best in National Costume.

Winona Chance Camacho was adjudged as the first runner-up after taking two specials awards—best in swimsuit and best in evening gown.

The other special award, Miss Congeniality, went to Leovita Q. Cabrera.

Coronation night was held on Nov. 29 at the Palms Resort.
