14 kids join 1st Camp Hyatt EXPO
A total of 14 youngsters participated in the Camp Hyatt EXPO, which ended Saturday. Next up for kids? The Christmas Camp Hyatt.
Camp Hyatt Team Leader Vangie Sablan said it was the first time they held this kind of event and that the kids had a lot of fun learning many things, including how to make the traditional mwar.
The children were also exposed to different styles of artwork such as skin-less leaf painting, as taught by Ernie David.
Other activities were sketching, finger painting, and playing tennis with the help of Vivian Lee.
But the most popular activity, Sablan said, was the swimming lesson, conducted by Hyatt Regency’s certified instructor Lucio Aldan, with the help of the lifeguards.
“The kids enjoyed their day! We are looking forward to doing more of these kinds of event in the future,” Sablan said.
The hotel’s next event for children is the Christmas Camp Hyatt, which starts Dec. 15 and will run until Jan. 4.
“The activity that the kids did today was a small exposure to what Christmas at Camp Hyatt will be like, in addition to other fun and exciting activities during the holidays,” Sablan said.
Just last Dec. 5, the Hyatt Regency Saipan lit up its giant Christmas tree at the hotel’s main entrance.
