Clarification

Your article of Jan. 7, 2009, headlined ” Three ask for Tudela’s support for candidacy is grossly incorrect.

Mayor Tudela does not back any of the three mentioned individuals who have told him of their interest to run for mayor in this year’s elections. They are all his close friends, and he will only cast his vote for a candidate he supports at the election poll.

Additionally, Mayor Tudela still considers himself a member of the Covenant Party, and will not be disloyal to the party that puts him to his present position. I hope this will correct what he said during your reporter’s interview with him.
