Archbishop Apuron to celebrate 25th Jubilee Feb. 19-21

The Archdiocese of Agana will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron’s Episcopal ordination from Feb. 19 to 21.

The archbishop was ordained a bishop at the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral 25 years ago, Feb. 19, 1984.

There will be several events and masses this month but the major island-wide celebration will be the Archbishop’s Mass of Thanksgiving set on Saturday, Feb. 21, 11am at the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica.

Archbishop Apuron is also making the jubilee a time to celebrate other joyful aspects of the Church, including vocations and the men and women who have committed themselves to serving God in priestly and religious callings.

The archdiocese will ordain four seminarians to the diaconate on Thursday, Feb. 19, 6pm.

Mass for vocations to the diaconate, priesthood, and consecrated life will also be held on Friday, Feb. 20, 6pm.

All jubilee ,asses will be celebrated at the Cathedral-Basilica.

KUAM will air the masses live on television and will also bring them to audiences worldwide via streaming Internet.
