On two occasions, acting Attorney General Gregory Baka admitted to the media that public funds are being used in Gov. Benigno R. Fitial’s lawsuit against the federal government. This is contradictory to what Fitial stated in his YouTube video statements. This does not include his pledge to the Legislature that he will not use public funds.

The central government’s contribution to Retirement Fund has not been made, DPS operations is hampered, endangering the public, threats of furloughs are out, and all other public services are affected. So what funding is the governor using? Where is this funding for the lawsuit against the feds coming from? Did the governor gain any revenue when he silently commuted a Covenant constituent’s sentence? What happened to the promise of swift prosecution with the MPLA abolishment case? Millions are waiting to be collected in this MPLA case. Has the Attorney General’s Office looked into the MPLA case or is AG waiting on the statute of limitations to run to prosecute the case?

This needs to be seriously looked into.
