UPPER TUMON, Guam—The Coca-Cola Beverage Company of Guam joins in on the fight against cancer.

CCBCG announced yesterday the launch of the Diet Coke “Here’s to Fighting for a Cure” campaign in a continuing effort to help in the fight against cancer and to support the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event.

Fundraising efforts will be done through the sales of Diet Coke, Diet Coke Plus and/or Caffeine Free Diet Coke 12-can packs. From now until the end of May 2009, CCBCG will donate 5 cents for every 12-can pack purchased at participating grocery outlets.

“Cancer has impacted the lives of everyone—this is just one way our business can unite in the fight for a cure,” said Ernest Mak, Director of Operations for Coca Cola Beverage Co. Guam. “Historically, our company has rallied behind the support for cancer fundraising and we hope through our efforts and the efforts of other island businesses and community at large, that the American Cancer Society Guam Chapter can continue to provide help and hope to thousands.”
