Kagman Elementary School placed second in both the girls and boys division of the 12-and-under category of the recent Spring Break Youth Volleyball Festival at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

The Blue Marlins girls team was composed of Natasha Ngirausui, Laydina Queena Saimon, Cassey Babauta, Kelena Saures, Amanda Agulto, Dana Gideon, Grace Iriarte, and Christine Route. Head coach was Hellena Jebehn and assistant coach was Thelma Cing.

The boys team was anchored by Jerry Rodriguez, Carey Camacho, Dionicio Lizama, Keith Lizama, Akio Aguon, and Cedric Ada. Frank Arurang served as head coach.

Arurang said placing second in the tournament is already a big achievement for the school.

“I just want my students to feel proud of themselves for at least finishing in second place.,” he said.

The tournament theme was “Get Fit, Play Volleyball”.

The main goal was to promote physical fitness and raise the level of the game among the youth.

Kagman ES entered teams in the fourth, fifth, and sixth grade levels for the first time this year.

The Blue Marlins thanked their principal and vice principal for all their support to the students and coaches.
