Percy Omechelang and Yho Villavicencio claimed their second Budweiser King and Queen of the Lanes monthly title after ruling the April roll-off at the Saipan Bowling Center.

Omechelang, who won the February King of the Lanes crown, competed in the Sunday roll-off and had the lead in the first day of the tournament with his four-game total of 881 pinfalls and an average of 220.25.

Fifteen joined the Monday roll-off, hoping to surpass Omechelang’s score, but they failed.

The closest the 15 other male bowlers could get was within 17 pinfalls with Raul Dumapit tallying 864. Robert Talavera also had 864 pinfalls during the Sunday roll-off.

Alex Castro finished fourth with 805 pinfalls, while Omechelang also owned the fifth best score, as he returned for the Monday roll-off and made 803 pinfalls.

Posting the Top 10 scores were Lito Teodoro (771), Tony Verdaguer (769), Alex Cacdac (766), Talavera (755), and Jeremy Williams (738).

In the Queen of the Lanes tournament, Villavicencio came back to SBC and shattered her own mark. Villavicencio knocked 702 pins down in the first roll-off and had 26 pinfalls more in the Monday roll-off to retain the April title.

Villavicencio, who also won the February roll-offs, had a strong showing in the first two games, recording 187 and 201 pinfalls before slowing down in Game 3 with 158 pinfalls. She recovered in the last game with 181 pinfalls.

Dropping to second place was Diane Camacho with 695 pinfalls, followed by Emi Williams (689), Elena Soll (661), Gigi Zapanta (655), Cora Muna (645), Lala Taitano (644), Gloria Omechelang (636), and Gina Sablan (626).

Villavicencio and Omechelang are the first multiple winners in the Budweiser roll-off and are two wins behind youth bowler Raphael Zapanta, who had ruled the first four stagings of the Fiji Water Prince/Princess of the Lanes Tournament.

Raphael pocketed his fourth straight victory this season after tallying 667 pinfalls Sunday. He had a 48-pinfall lead over runner-up Troy Verdaguer, who scored 619 pinfalls. Nikko Gutierrez placed third with his 616 pinfalls, while Leeanne Yarobwemal finished fourth with her 523 pinfalls.
