Braves, Red Sox shutout foes

Tanapag Braves and the Red Sox fashioned out similar easy victories over their separate rivals in the Majors Division of 2009 Saipan Little League last Sunday at the Miguel “Tan Ge” Palacios Ballfield.

Ian Rogolofoi waxed hot with one of his best games of the season to lead the Braves to a 10-0 blanking off the JPO Enforcers.

Rogolofoi fired two doubles with four RBIs. He went 2-for-3 with two runs, while three of his teammates also contributed on offense.

Francisco Lieto (3-for-3, two runs, an RBI, and a triple), Roy Tudela Jr. (2-for-2, two runs, and a walk) and Herbert San Nicolas (1-for-3, 1 run, 1 RBI) also chipped in for the win.

The Braves improved to a 5-5 win-loss record, in a tie with the Survivors in seventh to eighth positions. The Enforcers fell to 2-8, same records as Little Falcons, As Matuis Twins, and Shell.
[B] Red Sox 13, Twins 0[/B]

The Red Sox also scored a rousing 13-0 win over As Matuis Twins and tied the Jets in third to fourth places with similar 8-2 marks.
Nathan Sablan and Bret Halstead posted identical 2-for-2 performances at the plate with two runs and two RBIs each.

[B]Little Lions 17, Little Falcons 6[/B]

Kagman Little Lions gored Little Falcons, 12-6, to stay in solo sixth with a 6-4 card.

Francisco Palacios led the Lions with a 3-for-3 stint at the plate and had four runs and an RBI triple. Jesus Santos added four runs, two RBIs, and a double after connecting on two hits in three times at bat.
