May is Tourism Month. What should the community do to support tourism?
“We could be friendlier to tourists…be more welcoming.”

“We should develop more cultural programs—like an international cultural center— because we are a diverse group of people in the CNMI. It should be a place where tourists can experience a bunch of different cultures.”
—Noel Taisacan

“Welcome visitors to this island like it’s their own home, not like they’re strangers. Give them guidance, and help present the best of our island. Be friendly! Even though they are of different nationalities, we should be open to them as visitors.”

“Number one, be proud of who you are, your ancestors, the ruins, your background. Be kind to tourists; protect them. Public transportation is needed. Keep up with street signs and street markings. In my country, Peru, we put special police in charge of orientating tourists. This is a beautiful place; take care of our sand, sea, and surf, and improve it!”
