A total of 13 teams will be competing for special awards in the annual Marianas March Against Cancer, which will be held tonight at the Hopwood Junior High School campus field.

The teams are grouped into four categories.

A team from Grace Christian Academy is grouped in the Napu/schools category.

For the government/nonprofit category, the teams are Marriage Encounter, Hinemlo, Department of Public Health, and Transportation Security Administration.

Teams in the Pulan/family category are Bodig and Ahu.

A total of seven teams are entered in the Pution/corporate category, including Tan Holdings, Pacific Islands Club, IT&E/Saipan Southern High School, Marianas Health Services/GTC Elementary School, Take Care/FHP, Bank of Guam/Garapan Elementary School, and Bank of Hawaii.

The awards to be contested are most money raised (per category), best baton, best decorated tent, most spirit, most laps and most luminaries sold.

MMAC said all these teams are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting and memorable event that raises funds for the battle against cancer.

Tonight’s event culminates the MMAC Week, which started with the signing of proclamation by acting Gov. Eloy S. Inos last Tuesday at the Bank of Guam office in Garapan.
