Prestigious AIF training set in Manila in October
Cited by the U.S. Financial Planning Magazine as one of the 10 most wanted designations in the investment field, the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Designation is the next step for investment professionals who wish to perform their fiduciary responsibilities following only the highest standards and best practices in the industry.
With the aim of providing the best training programs and forums for fiduciaries in the region, the Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies is holding its biggest yet Pacific Region Investment Conference. This year, APAFS has partnered with Fi360 to bring an additional two days of AIF training spearheaded by Blaine Aikin, the primary architect of the AIFA program and a major contributor to the development of the Fiduciary Excellence concept, which is the heart of Fi360 products and services. Aikin, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst, Certified Financial Planner, and Chartered Financial Analyst, is also set to keynote the 11th PRIC.
Daniel Roland, CIMA, executive director of APAFS said, “APAFS is bringing the AIF training program to the Pacific region to provide the region’s trustees with the training they need to step up to a new level of industry standards and enhance their capabilities as fiduciaries. Receiving the AIF certification will demonstrate that you can meet the demanding expectations of an increasingly cautious market and allow you to earn their trust while performing your fiduciary responsibilities at the highest level.”
AIF training guarantees the participants to be able to articulate the legal and regulatory environment impacting the fiduciary; determine the prudent process that an investment fiduciary should follow; conduct a fiduciary review; prepare investment policy statements; implement an investment strategy; conduct due diligence on investment advisers, financial planners, and fund managers; implement socially responsible investment strategies; monitor and supervise the activities of an investment program; analyze an investment programs’ expenses and fees; deliver performance measurement reports; and customize services to different market segments.
APAFS now opens the registration for the PRIC and the Fi360 AIF Training Program, which will be held on Oct. 20-21 and Oct. 18-19, 2011, respectively. Both events will be held at the New World Makati City Hotel, Philippines. Fees and more information about the AIF Training Program and the PRIC can be found at www.apafs.org.
PRIC is the organization’s annual initiative to help improve investment performance by providing educational forums for fiduciaries in the region. To learn more about APAFS and its events and conferences, log on to www.apafs.org. (PR)
