Vendor registration for Cool Roof Program now open

All vendors interested in participating in the CNMI’s Residential Cool Roof Rebate Program are being invited by the Division of Energy to register as a Qualified Participating Vendor of cool roof technology. Qualified vendors will have the opportunity to apply cool roof technology to approximately 200 residential homes on Saipan.

To participate and qualify as a registered participating vendor in the program, interested vendors must meet the following minimum requirements and must be able to perform the services, as stated below:

1. Must be a certified applicator of cool roof technology.

2. Must be able to provide the following required services: 100 percent site preparation and 100 percent application of approved or qualified cool roof technology.

3. Must comply with all federal and CNMI laws and regulations relating to the proper preparation and application of product.

4. Must provide the following in order to register for the program:

a. Letter of Application to participate in the Residential Cool Roof Rebate Program

b. Completed Vendor Participation Agreement

c. Proof of Experience (supporting documents showing at least five successful completion of cool roof systems technology projects)

d. Copy of certification as a Certified Applicator of Cool Roof Systems Technology

e. Copy of valid CNMI Business License

f. Copy of most recent Application for Letter of Compliance and/or Tax Clearance

5. Must agree to adhere to any and all additional requirements of the Program.

Letters of Requests to participate in the Program must be addressed to Thelma B. Inos, director, CNMI Energy Division Office and must also include a statement certifying that the minimum requirements are met and that the above services could be performed.

Letters shall be submitted to and received by the CNMI Energy Division Office (EECBG), located at Springs Plaza Development Building along Chalan Pale Arnold Highway, Saipan, MP 96950 no later than 4:30pm on Aug. 26, 2011.

A mandatory presentation for vendors will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2011 at 10am. Prior to this mandatory presentation, copies of the Terms and Conditions of the Residential Cool Roof Rebate Program may be picked up at the CNMI Energy Division Office (EECBG), located at the Springs Plaza Development Building on Chalan Pale Arnold Highway, Saipan.

Funding opportunities for the project is made possible from an ARRA grant through the US Department of Energy-Energy, Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program[I]. (PR)[/I]
